They'll Make a Girl of Him Yet

Well, whaddya do. Audrey wants a sister and she'll take whatever willing party she can get, I guess.

So, anyway, today is my birthday. Birthdays are SOOO unexciting nowadays. Usually, I can't even remember how old I am anymore and I barely remember that I got older in the first place. It's my birthday? Oh yeah. *shrug*
I did try to "sleep in" this morning, but after weeks and weeks of getting up at 4 a.m., I realized that it wasn't going to happen. I tossed and turned for a while and finally got up at 6 or so. Since being up, it hasn't felt very birthday-like around here, except I got a GREAT birthday present - Ashton actually used the toilet for the first time EVER this morning. Then he begged to put his diaper back on (which I wouldn't do in hopes that he'd eventually go #2 on the potty as well) but he decided that it was a fine time to learn to put the thing back on by himself. So now that I know he can put his own diaper on, I think I'll tell him to change his own diaper next time he poops. :-) I know my husband would be relieved!

So, today I have one kid in school half of today, one in school all day, one who is being whisked away to a pool party, and only ONE with me!!! And I'm going to be doing grand and glorious things with my time. things like cleaning my garage for an impromptu garage sale I'm having tomorrow, and priming a bunch of growth charts. I know, I am the most exciting person ever. You all want my life. But this really is grand and glorious, because with all sorts of missing children, I can clean my garage and NOT come back inside to a disaster of epic proportions.

Well, I must go attend to the very fun task of fighting with my daughter over what clothes she will wear to school today, so I'll be back. soon, I promise.
